Thanks to everyone who has "plugged in".

We are now up to 20 ish folks in about 2 weeks worth of effort. Not bad. Here is the line up:
14 of us sing, and almost all of us have either one or more other instruments that we play.

I love the stories country music tells, simple, straight from the heart, hilarious, heart breaking, and inspirational. I love its reminder to us about how important family, love, friends, community, jobs, spiritual life, and our country is to us. And, how damn tough it is keep all of that going while keeping an open heart.

I was in my car one day with Pandora on tuned to one of my many country stations. Though I have been playing jazz at the semi pro / am level for the past 7 or more years in the bay area, I spend most of my recreational listening time with country. It hit me that I should be playing the music I love. (Not that I'm giving up Jazz, I love that too.)

With that 2*4 hitting me on the back of my head, I started a journey. Putting together a "New" ish Country project and trying to find and pull together a community of country musicians.

Married with a wonderful wife and two daughters in middle school. as well as two boys much older from a previous,- and yes the ex is in Texas. Silicon Valley Business Development Consultant by day. Born in Ohio, raised in Colorado. Served in Vietnam. Live in West San Jose .
